Description: This old school Yankee No. 11 flathead screwdriver is a cool find for collectors and enthusiasts of vintage tools. Made in the United States by North Bros MFG Company Philadelphia, it's a unique addition to any collection. Its brand, Yankee, is highly regarded in the industry. * It has a notch or “switch” on the metal portion of the handle that clicks and moves but I don’t understand its function. I believe this was meant to be a ratchet system and the stem was welded at one point in its history. Whatever the case, it functions now as a standard screwdriver. Tool is approximately 10.25" in length and has a pleasantly worn wood appearance with original burgundy red paint still evident on handle.
