Description: Vintage German Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis, Faciebat Anno 17..Case. I don’t claim to know enough about old violins to say for sure if this piece is an antique or not. For sure it is vintage. I have my doubts that it is 100+ years old - but like I said, my expertise in this field is limited. Obviously needs to be restrung. It does come with some very old strings - one is gut! Cool! But they look used. It also comes with a few extra bridges. You can never have too many I suppose right? Additionally, it comes with 2 extra sets of tuning pegs. Has a chin rest (do not believe it is original to this violin) but is missing the tailpiece. Everything is intact though and overall a sturdy violin. Cosmetically it is also in great shape - especially considering it’s age. There are some minor signs of wear - and a few weird things going on with the varnish - but for the most part it’s great. Please check those photos for further details though - I may have missed something. Case is old as well, turquoise interior. A few marks on the exterior of case from wear. Clasps shut as it should and I have given it a good cleaning. No key. This violin does *not* come with a bow. If you have any questions, would like more photos or are interested in making an offer - feel free to message me! I am always happy to help. My handling time varies between same day or next (business) day depending on the time that you order. I typically make a post office trip daily in the morning. Be sure to check my other items as I have plenty of other beautiful vintage pieces listed. Thank you for looking!
