It measures 6" dia. at the base and will drop 4 ½" from the ceiling once installed (add 2" for the bulb shown). It will come to you with updated wiring, accepts a modern standard base bulb (shown with a hand painted bulb from Rejuvenation - not included) and a modern cross bar needed for installation.
