Description: Large pewter gumbo platter by artist Floyd Sonnier. Made of Armentale pewter by a 200 year old foundry. Designed with the Crawfish-and-Rice motif. Part of the "Acadien Classique" dinnerware.The bottom of the bowl states: Acadien Classique. Goudchaux's/maison blanche. Then it has a Cajun French quote and Floyd's signature. Originall sold at Goudchaux's/maison blanche is the department store. The platter is in good condition, some scuffs and water marks- see pics. 14.25" in diameter.
