This process happens by releasing of the electric strike lip also called keeper or gate, when the door closes and the beveled latchbolt rides over the lip and falls into the electric strike pocket. This feature, called remote release provides added benefits such as increased convenience and efficiency. The 6200 series electric strikes also provide added security and traffic control. The 6215 series offers a good variety of electric strikes with highly customizable features for use on new installations with mortise locks without deadbolt or cylindrical locks on single door, hollow metal or aluminum frame applications.
