Description: *NO SHIPPING TO CHINA, DO NOT BID as you will be Unable to Pay** Vintage 1920s DEADSTOCK w/PAPER LABEL Italian Baroque Tapestry Woven Coverlet, Bright Persimmon Orange and Cream in Color. Hand-Tied Fringed around three sides, Figural "Stags" in Pairs can be seen on the sides. Original Fabric Label is sewn into the edge "Made in Italy" along with the Numbered Paper Label "37". These were usually for a Wedding Trousseau and in the Hope Chest, you can tell this piece was Never Used and is Deadstock (has a faint dust odor from storage). I prefer not launder these as it changes the texture of the fabric. Measures approx. 75" wide, 89" long, Full Size, shown here on a queen bed. Some of the fringe may have fade, I doubt it though, I believe it's just the weave of the thread which is an Ombré color combo, you will find some tangles as expected. Along the Pillowtop edge of the spread the weave will be more loose/open intermittenly, but this is just factory (pic). There are 3 lines of demarcation which run the length of the spread (you can see them in the pictures), these are from 100 years of storage, dirt which settled on the folds.
