Description: Offered is this vintage Art Deco inkwell with a bronze rectangular base, bronze horse and Bakelite ink bottle holder, made by Fount O Ink in Los Angeles. The base has rounded corners and a ribbed design typical of the period. The underside is covered in what appears to be the original green felt. There is no ink bottle or pen. I don't know how old the piece is for sure but I believe it dates to the 1930s-1940s. The base of the piece is approx. 8 1/2" x 3". It is about 4" high to the top of the horse. Aside from the missing bottle and pen, it is in very good to excellent condition. I see no damage to the Bakelite or metal, which has a nice patina. There are some light surface marks from handling and use. The felt is intact, with the expected light surface wear and slight fading.
