Description: This 1952 circus advertising poster / calendar is being sold in "as is" condition. Please study the photographs carefully. There is some staining, and there are some small tears. The calendar sheets which are stapled to the cardboard / cardstock poster are a little bit on the brittle side. The staples have a little bit of rust... The art for the poster is signed copyright GOES Helen Carlson. This is a printed signature. The back of the cardstock shows some damage from Scott's tape or some other kind of adhesive which was used at some point in the past, perhaps to attach this to a larger format backing or as part of a scrapbook. We will be listing several calendars, photographs, and other things from a scrapbook. This may have been in the scrapbook at one time. Please follow our page as these items will be listed over the next week or two. Again, this is a used item, and is being sold as is. We will try to provide detailed photographs of each item thank you. The artwork was at one time glued to the Blue calendar cardstock and is separating from that card stock in a few spots. I will try to show that clearly in the photos. Photo #17 from Tinicum historical society page ***The last seven (18-24) photographs show other items that I will be listing shortly. A poster, three larger calendars like this one, a smaller calendar, five original photographs of the model circus (as well as family portraits/photos/etc.), and pages from the scrapbook which include numerous newspaper clippings. These items may be sold at auctions, via buy it now, or possibly some combination. Some will be sold individually, and some will be part of a lot or two+. Not quite sure yet how I'll do this. Stay tuned. Again, this sale is for one calendar only. As is. The last 8 photographs are for informational purposes only. The three larger calendars are: from 1954 featuring The Lion (and that one is in excellent condition except for the tape from the scrapbook on the back), there's one from 1955 featuring a zebra and some dragonfly and hexagram/star of David (that one has the orange background and the lion has the blue background which does have a little bit of staining near the top), and finally you have the elephant from 1953 - so in total 1953 1954, 1955 and the original with the black cardstock I posted here, the 1952 calendar. Again, these others are not part of this sale. The small calendar is from 1956, so it looks like they scaled down on their advertising budget. There are also, not pictured here, other photographs of the family as well as some large format negatives. ***** If you are the first serious buyer for this item - the 1952 calendar shown, and you pay full price, I will consider selling the entirety of the lot to you. I may begin listing the rest of these things later on today or tomorrow. * Thank you for your time. All funds that I raise through my eBay store go for medical expenses for my wife. ***** While we do list a longer handling time, most items ship in two to three business days.
