Description: Vtg Adlake Brakeman's 1965/66 Railroad Lantern, Red Globe, Kero Lantern, Southern Railway. 'Adlake' stands for 'Adams' and 'Westlake.' Model 300/400, version 4 from 1965-66. Wording on bottom of font holder is worn but can be discerned as ' USA Canada Patented,' which dates this lantern to 1965. The Southern Railway operated from 1894 to 1982. Now known as Norfolk Southern Railway after merging with the Norfolk Western Railway. Note: Condition is good to very good, commensurate with age and use. Lettering is worn and piece does have rust in spots. Does have dings and dents, again due to age and use. Does need a thorough cleaning. Glass globe has no cracks or breaks. See photos for details.
