Description: This vintage demitasse cup & saucer by Homer Laughlin is a classic addition to any collection. With its round shape, glossy finish, and original Fiesta colors, it's perfect for all occasions. The cup has a 3 fl oz capacity and stands at 2 3/8 inches tall with a diameter of 2-1/2 inches. It features concentric circles and a stick handle, and was produced between 1936 and 1951 in an Art Deco style. The cup is an original piece and was manufactured in the United States using the pottery production technique. It weighs 4 oz and is part of the Fiesta product line. This cup is sure to bring a touch of American charm to your collection. History notes: There are 11 vintage colors in the original Fiesta ware line designed by Frederic Rhead. The original lineup included Blue (often refer to the as Cobalt), Ivory, Green (sometimes now referred to as "Light Green", or "Original Green), Yellow, and Turquoise. The cups were hand jiggered and the stick handle was cast seperately and joined by hand. The foot was also hand turned to achive its flared out shape. A lot of hand work went into these vintage Fiesta cups. The cup is one of only a handful of pieces that was never marked. The stick handled demitasse cups are some of the smallest pieces in the fiestaware line. They are also some of the most charming and were made in ten of the eleven vintage colors. In beautiful condition. No chips or cracks. -242981b
