Description: Offered is this vintage glazed "Falcon Ware" pottery pitcher, made by J. H. Weatherby in Staffordshire, England. The colorful hand-painted pub pitcher has a raised relief design of a woman in old-fashioned dress holding up a glass of beer on one side and the large words "The Old Bull and Bush" on the other. The pitcher has a dimpled surface, painted a sort of mottled brown and cream color, with a brown raised design at the top, bottom and on the handle. I'm not sure how old the pitcher is; Weatherby began in the late 1800s and introduced "Falcon Ware" in 1925. The pitcher is approx. 6" high and about 7 1/2" across from handle to spout. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or scratches. There is a small amount of wear along the top edge of the handle.
