Description: California Cleminson CHERRY Salt & Pepper Shakers There is a Cleminson's Order Form, ca. 1951, with the list of prices for the available items and the names the company assigned to them in the book "Collectors Encyclopedia of California Pottery, 2nd Edition" by Jack Chipman, on page 86. On the order form you can find the 'CHERRY' set including CHERRY - Flour, Sugar, Coffee, Tea, Cookie, and Drippings, Items 770-772, and SALT & PEPPER CHERRY PR., Item 811; the 1951 price for the set was $15.00. The set also included a Salt Box, Spoon Rest and Matches/Matchbox Holder. This hand painted vintage set of tall salt and pepper shakers is free from chips and cracks but does have crazing consistent with age. The closeup is showing some dirt or residue near the bottom of the pepper shaker. They measure approx. 6" in height and 2 1/2" in diameter. With cork stoppers.
