Description: Very unique hard to find vintage pre-Columbian replica statement necklace.made of solid brass. A little research you will find the original breast plate made in solid gold pre-Columbian era. The chain is pull over (no clasp but could easily add a hook to adjust length if desired. Solid brass double rolo chain with the pendant being hand hammered and punched hand stamping with articulated work throughout. Earrings and mask move and the rough measurement is 4" X 3 1/2" with layered and dangling pieces giving the 3D effect. It features a moving mask or headdress and earrings. It is original to the Calima Culture, Yotoco. This is an expert artisan brass rendition of the Yotoco headdress ornament from the Calima River Valley in southwest Colombia. The original pre-Colombian piece is solid gold and was featured at the Met in NY during the "The Art of Pre-Columbian Gold: The Jan Mitchell Collection" exhibit.
