The jacket is lined, at the front it is tied with a tassel cord The peaked hat buttons on, and there is a separate pillbox style hat( possibly so the coat can either be for boys or girls) All the most elaborate craftsmanship! There must be a wonderful story that this jacket could tell. there are yellowed spots, and some moth holes. Lining also has some of these. I can't say this is really ecru anymore- definitely yellowed with ageWonderfully authentic garment, absolute textile artwork, actually museum piece. I looked at the British Museum of Art website to locate similar styles no size length from back collar 20" and about 15" armpit to armpitit's quite a heavy item, and I believe that USPS medium flat rate is the least expensive option
