Description: VTG Eldon 9805 Deluxe Road Race with 2 Sport Cars w/ Box Untested Extra Track We had this slot car race set as long as I can remember, my family played with it through the 1960's and 1970's. I also remember how we would take our cars to the local hobby shop and race on their gigantic multi lane race tracks. Eldon used to be the bomb. I did not test this, and I'm assuming it does not work as it is. It will need some work to get any of this to work, but there's a lot of stuff. Extra parts come with this lot, that had been collected over the years, like extra track, extra trestles, extra controllers, and so on. Lets go through this stuff in detail (as much as possible), on what you will get. 1 Eldon Power Pack Toy Transformer, untested and complete in good condition. 2 Eldon Race cars, one red and one white. Untested, chrome parts has the chrome coming off, complete with all the pegs installed, brushes look rough. They're in pretty good shape. Original Eldon controllers, plus replacement Strombecker controllers, and the power connection piece of straight track. The Eldon controllers are rough and are coming apart, but the Strombecker controllers look excellent. Side note: notice that the Eldon controller uses a genuine nail in the trigger... cool. 1 piece of criss cross track, good condition, could use some cleaning. This didn't come with the original set, and it really adds an awesome addition to the racing. 15 pieces of 5 1/2" straight #3814 track, 6 of them are gray, and 9 are black. 36 piece of curve #3813 track, 12 of them are grey, and 24 are black. Instructions and parts lists. Original race set box, in fair condition, with scuffed edges and some moister stains. 10 pieces of trestles (bridge supports), 6 black original pieces, and 4 additional silver pieces. Over 18 pieces of fencing, some are broken and could repair. Most are in good condition. All the track could use a good alcohol cleaning, to remove the light corrosion, and make good contact.
