Description: This stock certificate is EXC. and original. It was issued August 10, 1853 for 25 shares to my 2nd great grandfather., # 1468 Alleghany Co., Maryland. Black print on black border. Engraving of ship at sea on top border with allegorical women at each side of the certificate. Baldwin, Adams & Co. stamp.Counter signed, James Clark. The left edge has been trimmed, as was another recently sold on the internet, but the images are intact and I do not think it detracts from the item and do not know why both were trimmed in similar fashion. I do not see any other damage. See photo. I am not a grader of such items, just an older lady cleaning out. Kept in acid free sleeve. Non pet home, Non smoking homeShipped USPS. No returns.
