Stamion Co. Mfg. Has been around since 1914 (110 years)! The cap is in very good vintage condition. The wool is still very nice and the leather sweatband is in very good shape. There is a small stain on the inside satin lining from a drop of condensation off a glass of iced tea per the spouse's information. The braided cord detail and embroidered ribbon are in great shape. You've seen these hats in the 1950s movie Zorba the Greek and Fiddler on the Roof, hence the name Fiddlers hat/Cap. Then there is the iconic AC/DC Rock band. Bikers wear these also. The size of the cap is US 7 3/8, and Greek sizing is 59, and it is handmade in Greece. The style is a fiddler fisherman's cap and is perfect for anyone who wants to add a touch of rock, nautical, or peasant themes to their outfit. The cap is also packable, making it easy to store and carry wherever you go. I do not clean hats, I just brush them off and leave the cleaning (if needed) to the customer.
