Description: Classic 1970s Oxford in snappy black and white features a comfy, period-accurate amber sole with a 2" block heel. Perforated, pinked-edge trim, brass eyelets and bold topstitching complete the stylish details. Shoes are in EUC with virtually untouched soles. I do see slight curling of the interior heel edging of the right shoe, ( easily repaired) and minor scratching of the upper exterior toe box of the left shoe. An interesting aside about the Dexter Shoe Company, founded in rural Maine in 1957, is that it was one of the first companies to sell products at the factory site. It later sold to Warren Buffet for a whopping $420 million. Although the puffy, R. Crumb-style seventies shoes show no content markings, they appear to be leather.
