Description: For sale I have an Original Batik Print by the Malaysian Artist Lee Long Looi (1942-2023). After graduating from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1964 the artist moved to New York City and by the 1970s had a series of solo exhibitions in the U.S. and abroad. His works have been sold by Christie's and Sotheby's auction houses. The batik features a Malaysian seaside cityscape with tall buildings and boats on the water in the foreground. The cityscape is rare and the artist is more known for scenes of women in natural settings. The image measures 18 inches long by 12 inches wide and is in good vintage condition except for the Foxing Spots on the paper. Would benefit from conservation.
