Fantastic Mid Century "Factory Art" framed oil on canvas still life of colorful flowers in a vase. Factory art was a movement that used real artists to paint popular scenes. The styles all looked about the same style as they copied from a master. Very few were ever signed or used a non-de-plume and were often marketed through starving artist sales or department stores and pseudo art galleries. This one is signed with what looks like Fields. These have become collectible in their own right. As well as being sought after by collectors to decorate period theme room decor. This is handmade artwork. This painting has a heavy decorative wood frame that's got undertones of gold with a darker antique gray-olive green wash over the top. The painting features yellow and orange flowers in a celadon green squat vase. The background has nice light highlights and shadows that are in the dark olive green to lighter golden yellow tones. The back has a nice wire for hanging. The back is papered, which might indicate the frame job or reframing might be newer than the painting. It's in super good shape and a really nice size, too.
