Description: This auction is for an Original Vintage Buddy Lee Composition Advertising Doll. He measures approx. 12 1/2" tall. c.1940s. Buddy Lee was an advertising promotion mascot for Lee Jeans. Has molded lightly painted hair, painted side glancing eyes, painted upper lashes, painted closed mouth and painted black boots. Jointed only at the shoulders. He's wearing his original railroad engineer outfit with a Lee tag. I purchased as is .Clothing has never been removed. The head looks as if it was repainted. The head doesn't feel smooth, may have been repaired. My opinion only. As with these 70+ year old doll, they may have scratches, paint loss, other age related flaws.
