Description: This is an un-dated Craftsman 3 drawer top tool chest made by Simpson with the very unusual combination lock that is intact and in functional condition! I believe it’s approximately a 1965 manufacture date based on the literature shown that was found inside. This box is in really nice shape aside from some minor paint issues overall (common) and the drawers were lined at some point in its life. The condition shows quite well for a home garage kept unit, although not perfect. Separate of the light cleaning I have given it-some paint touch up could be done to really make it nice-or just polished and waxed and enjoyed for another 50 years. There’s no heavy rust, no paint touch up or damage or modifications of any kind. The chrome/nickel plating on the side handles is crummy-which is common. ALL the drawers slide nicely and there’s s no abnormal slop/wear in any of them in my opinion. Photos show condition accurately-some photos with flash and others with just ambient lighting. Measurements are approximately 14-1/2” tall, 12” deep, 25” wide not counting the handles. The tape residue by the combo lock will clean off-as it had tape that protected the combination from being tampered with over the years.
