Description: VINTAGE 1940S ERA MID-CENTURY MODERN SET - PLATTER/TRAY WITH COORDINATING BOWL - CLEAR MOLD PRESSED GLASS - UNMARKED - PROBABLY USA MADE Serving/Fruit/Console Bowl: Measures 11" diameter, 4.5" tall, with short 0.5" foot. Weighs about 3.5 lbs. Beautiful floral round bowl, with ruffled and scalloped rim. Smooth interior with deeply ribbed/textured exterior. Not marked. Platter/Tray/Underplate: Measures 14" diameter, 1.5 height overall (raised on short 0.5" foot.) Weighs about 3.5 lbs. Round with scalloped edge, and floral/starburst ribbed texturing. Smooth upper surface (slightly wavy around perimeter) with shallow center well where bowl sits. Underside is deeply ribbed/textured. Not marked. Condition is excellent, with minimal signs of wear consistent with age and very light normal use. (Set has been wrapped in storage since 1970s, and before that was in china cabinet at grandparents' farm.) No cracks, chips or repairs. Mold seams are not very noticeable - a few rough spots on the seam around perimeter of platter foot. Checked all edges, rims, raised ribs, etc - cannot feel any fleabites.
