Description: This lined carved memento box was made in India sometime in the mid-1970s. I believe it is made from rosewood. It is in very good vintage condition. There are no chips or scratches. Some wear is visible on the back at the base and there is a slight crack on the front, at the base that could benefit from a touch of glue to prevent it from snagging on something. The hinges are in good working condition.The box seems to be hand-carved and so has some imperfections consistent with the handmade process. The design is consistent with the style of Moghul India. The interior measures 1.5" X 2". The exterior is 2.5" X 1 5/8" X 1.75" high. Please study the pictures and feel free to ask questions; I do not offer returns. From a non-smoking home.
