Description: This painting is an original woodblock print that is tribute to the German film and national play titled, "Vogelhandler." The English translation of that is, "The Bird Seller." The play was performed for many years throughout Germany, in the 1960's. An American version of the play was also performed on stage here in the USA. This story, was written by playright, Carl Zeller. It was also made into German movies in 1935, 1956, 1960, and 1962. The story line is old as humankind. It is the story of, Adam, a handsome young man. Adam is the birdseller. There are two young women, Crystel and Tyrol, who are both attracted to him. From that simple story line comes the conflict between all the parties. At the time of shipping I will replace the glass with acrylic art glass (Plexiglass). Plexiglass is nearly shatterproof and will assure a safe delivery. Shipping: At this time I am shipping throughout the lower 48 states.
