VISIBLE IMAGE: 10 BY 14 INCHES FRAME: 17 BY 21 INCHES Wallace Edmund Turner was born in 1905 in Chicago to William Wallace Turner (born in Canada ~1867) and Nellie (Forster)Turner (born in England ~1876) . Wallace had Canadian family links through his Watson relatives in Lambton County, Ontario. Wallace was an artist, particularly noted for his watercolors. He was married on Jun 22, 1937 in Chicago to Trenna Lucille (Scott) Turner, who was born Jul 18, 1903 in Union County, South Dakota. They had one daughter, Patricia (Turner) Allen. During his career, Wallace travelled extensively and produced a large body of work, over 200 of which he donated and are held at Acadia University Art Gallery. He was a teacher at the Famous Artists School in Westport, Connecticut in the 1960s, and lived for a time nearby in Chappaqua, New York. He and Trenna retired in the 1970s to Wolfville, Nova Scotia, where he died in 1993.
