Description: Watermusic for vibraphone (with incidental percussion) - Leander Kaiser - Copyright 1997 - brand new - never used. Purchased in the late 1990s when I was majoring in music in college and has been in a box in my closet since 2003. Watermusic by Leander Kaiser is an exciting composition for vibraphone- one that would make an excellent choice for a senior recital. The piece may be played in its entirety, but the composer also gives recommended combinations of movements to be played if the performer chooses. Some of these combinations are for vibraphone alone. The piece is unusual in the contemporary vibraphone repertoire, in that the composer has deliberately avoided drawing on the jazz tradition of the instrument. Number of players - 1 Difficulty - Medium-Advanced Instrumentation - Vibraphone (4 mallets)
