Description: Very cool piece of recording history. Webster-Chicago model 80-1 wire recorder. Bought from an old school engineer's estate in Nashville. Seems to *kind of* work, but I've never gotten any sound out of it. Powers on and play and rewind functions work great, email me for a video if you're interested. Missing the volume pot. Comes with 6 partial spools of "recording wire", 3 in the player case and 3 in original box/tins. Also comes with the original microphone. Cool project or great display piece.
