All text is in Japanese. This issue features Metaphor: ReFantazio on the front cover, and a 2-page photo spread in the center of the magazine. Includes interviews with Mr. Takashi Tezuka and Shiro Mori about the development of Super Mario Bros Wonder. Weekly Famitsu is Japan's BIGGEST game magazine. It's where Japanese publishers regularly announce games. It's where Western media outlets often go for news about Japan's game industry. In the '80s, it even inspired the structure of many U.S. game magazines, with sections like a "cross review" department in which multiple writers review a game side by side. Every week, a team of 30-40 editors (and around 10 designers) generates hundreds of pages from a small office that looks like that of a Japanese game developer — low walls, employees sitting in front of rows of monitors, gray file cabinets all over the place. Every Friday, the staff puts that week's issue to bed. Every Thursday after that, it goes on sale. The print quality is much higher than American magazine publications. They often feature carefully written features and added bonuses (often come with manga, serialized comics, fold out posters, free DLC download codes & even promotional DVDs in some issues)! *Your magazine will be carefully boarded and placed within a resealable 1.5 mil Polypropylene sleeve to protect it from dust and moisture. Sleeved magazine is then placed within a rigid flat pack envelope to be shipped via USPS Ground Advantage. All of our magazine stock is held in climate controlled facilities. That means dust and mold filtration of our circulating air supply as well as protection from sunlight. Shipping is FREE. ------------------------- **TIPS ON READING JAPANESE MAGAZINES IN ENGLISH (and most other languages): Google Translate FREE (available for Android phone via Google Play and iOS iPhone via Apple App Store) Google Translate is a multilingual neural machine translation service developed by Google to translate text, documents and websites from one language into another. Google Lens is an image recognition technology developed by Google, designed to bring up relevant information related to objects it identifies using visual analysis based on a neural network. Google Lens is built in to the Google Photos app. This app is available natively on Android phones via Google's "Photos" app. If you are using a Samsung phone you will need to make sure you select Google's version of Photos instead of the stock Samsung Photos app. If you are using an iPhone, Google Photos must be downloaded from Apple's App Store. The download is free. Once Google Photos is downloaded you need to grant permissions to the app by selecting "Allow access to all photos". To use this app all you need to do is point your phone's camera to the page and take a photo. Then open the photo in the Google Photos app. "Lens" will be an option you can tap at the bottom of your screen below the photo. Google Lens will analyze the photo and automatically detect and highlight any text it sees. Text can be translated into any language you select. You can translate all text or zoom in to the image and highlight certain chunks of text to translate. Along the bottom of the screen you will see several options. Tap "Listen" and all text in the image will be read aloud to you in your chosen language. Tap "Open in Google Translate" and the app will create a full transcript in plain text in the language you choose. A unique feature in Google Lens is that it can often identify subjects on the page and provide internet links for further research on a given topic.
