Description: This is an original set published in 1960 and they are in Mint Condition. You are buying from one of the largest stockist of cigarette and trade cards in the UK. In the early 1960s cereal manufacturers Weetabix issued a few stereoscopic sets which were designed to be viewed through their 3-D Viewer. This particular set takes a look at working dogs and the backs tell you all about the breed and its role as well a containing an advert for the 3-D Viewer which was available from Weetabix for 1'6. What is nice about this set is that even without the viewer the colour pictures (two per card) are sharp and attractive although obviously when seen through the viewer these take on a superb 3-D quality. Among the dogs featured are herding dogs like the Border Collie or Corgi, popular sporting dogs such as the Springer Spaniel and Labrador Retriever, hunting dogs like Foxhounds and Beagles, guide dogs in harness, show dogs, guard dogs like the Alsatian, the Dalmatian which was formerly a carriage dog, tracking dogs the Bloodhound, Papillons who appear to be performing in a show etc. A fine set with cards size 112 x 45mm.Number of cards in set: L25 MINTFor over 10,000 items listed search for londoncigcard in your search engine.
