Description: #379Western Electric Candlestick with Metal Subset Ringer Box About this phone:This was an earlier Chrome restoration. The chrome is in good condition with some blemishes as shown in the photos. The transmitter cup appears to have the original nickel plating. Many hours of time went into restoring the telephone itself. It was completely disassembled. Each component both inside and outside of the phone right down to the smallest screw was hand cleaned and polished. The phone features the 151 style with the upgraded hook switch, transmitter element, receiver element and network for better sound quality. The transmitter element is the F1 style. The dial was disassembled, cleaned, lightly oiled, checked for calibration and works nicely. The finger stop, dial card holder and bezel were chrome plated to match the phone. The dial number plate has nice crisp numbers. The hook switch and dial contacts were cleaned with original Bell Telephone Seal Bond paper specially designed for the purpose. The transmitter is the earlier type with the Banana Tag that reads "Western Electric Company".The felt bottom is original. A new line cord was installed so that it will fit into today's modern land line jacks. Just plug it in. The Candlestick requires a separate ringer box in order to function. This Metal Ringer Box was completely disassembled and the cover was repainted. The phone is fully functional. It sounds like an old time phone. All antique rotary phones require a traditional landline for dialing out. If you have another type of phone service, check with your provider as you may need a pulse to tone converter to dial out. They can be purchased on eBay and easily added to the end of the phone line jack.See my other telephones and magnetos. Ships US Only
