This 291-page hardcover book follows the voyage of the USS Coral Sea (CVA-43), an aircraft carrier that was adopted by the Golden Gate city as “San Francisco’s own.” It covers the following groups: Carrier Air Wing 15, Attack Squadron 153, Attack Squadron 25, Fighter Squadron 161, Fighter Squadron 151, Early Warning Squadron 116, Attack Squadron 155, Heavy Attack Squadron 2, Detachment 43 and Photographic Squadron 63. This well-illustrated book measures 9 1/2 by 12 inches and is 1 1/4 inches thick. It is in very good condition, with bumped corners and minor surface scrapes (see photos).
