Description: The F. E. Myers & Bro. Company, also known as the Ashland Pump & Hay Tool Works, was founded in 1870 by Francis E. and Philip A. Myers in Ashland, Ohio. In 1882, the Myers brothers exhibited pumps at the Ohio State Fair, winning the highest award for the best pumps. Two years later, Philip won a patent for a hay carrier, which evolved into a lucrative line of Myers hay tools. This roller bearing cast iron pulley is was made by F.E. Myers & Bros. and is in very good condition. There is some surface rust remaining on it. Pulley turns freely. Marked "F.E. Myers & Bros. Ashland, O.H. H-408", "Roller Bearing" on one side and "H-411" on back side! Inside pulley wheel is marked "H 427" It measures 9.5" in without mount and 11" with. Weighs approximately 6 lbs.
