Blackeyed Susans are found growing along countryside roads or in wooded areas or fields in the country. They are very attractive when planting lots together like you see in the picture that I took of them at my home. They are a bright Golden Yellow Daisy-like flower that has a chocolate brown center. Each one is very vivid in color and each one attracts the eye from a distant! These are true perennials and will root under the ground and continue to grow more from their roots or reseed from the seeds that they produce! They die down in wintertime but they will regrow back from their rooted plant. They grow up to about 2-3 ft. high wand the flower grows on top of the tall stems. They have a green foliage plant at the bottom. You can cut these and make wonderful table bouquet decorations or use in any floral arrangements.
