Description: Very interesting label on this duck. I think it says "Republic of China." After doing some research, I believe this was made in Taiwan between 1912 and 1949. The bottom of the decoy is interesting, it dosen't have the machine waves of a bandsaw or other machine made cutting. It's smooth and the grain shows true. Unfortunately, it looks like the head was broken off at one point. You can see in the photos how a line goes all the way around the duck head. I believe it's still an awesome find. It measures 9 1/2" long, 4 1/2" tall at the head and 2 1/2" tall at the body. It's 3" wide. It does show honest wear. It was probably used as a decoy or just played with.
