Description: This is a beautiful antique William Guerin & Co Limoges porcelain cache pot, or vase, hand painted with violets. This also comes with a bonus William Guerin & Co platter also hand painted with violets. Both of these have the same backstamp which dates them from 1900 to 1932. However, I would estimate the cache pot was made in the early 1900's. The detail on the cache pot is beautiful with a different design on the front and back. There is gold on the side mock handles and the four gold ball feet as well as along the rim. The pot stands 9" and is 7" long and 3.75" wide. This is a medium size as I have seen pots a bit bigger or smaller. The cache pot is in great condition except for a spot on the inside bottom and a bit of wear on the gold ball feet as shown in the pictures. The platter is not an exact match as the green background is a bit lighter. This measures 10" by 7.75" and has no chips or nicks but has lost most of the gold around the rim. The platter also was made with a small oblong indentation in the center. It could make a very nice vanity tray. Both of these pieces really do compliment each other.
