Description: Up for your consideration is a very hard to find William Morris Victorian trade card. It is an invitation from a NY store – Elliot & Goodwin (location was in Union Square NY), the only authorized agent for Morris & Co. London, England. See description on reverse of card. William Morris image on front of card. The card was found in an 1876 -1880s scrapbook, so it is from the late 1880s. Comes from smoke-free home Card measurements: about 5 1/2” x 7 ½” Condition: The card has a center crease line-see photos. (It looks like it was originally folded over as it was an invitation.) On the front is a very small piece (1/8” x 1/8”) of extra paper stuck on one of the edges And on the reverse has two remaining circular dots from where it was attached in the scrapbook.
