To "Dear Dick [Hyman]" in full: "Thanks a lot for sending me your book. What a whole hell of a lot of research must have gone into it. However, the result is eminently entertaining, which is what seems to be the prime requisite. You're lucky to have gotten Otto to illustrate it. For my money, he's the best of them all in this pantomime business. Sincerely." The oldest son of the newspaper magnate, William Randolph Hearst, Jr. (1908-1993) spent 40 years as Editor-in-Chief of the Hearst newspaper chain and won the 1956 Pulitzer Prize for international reporting for a series of exclusive interviews with world leaders.
