Description: Winamac is a town in Monroe Township, in and the county seat of Pulaski County, Indiana with a population of 2,490 at the 2010 census. The town’s name came from the “Potawatomi” word for “Catfish”. It was selected as the county seat in 1839 and was incorporated in 1868. I could not find any information on the “Pearl Street Ford” but I thinks that it crosses the Tippecanoe River which loops around Winamac. In any event, the card, published by “Smith’s Drug Store” and postmarked 1922 in Winamac. It is in excellent condition with minor wear and a clean, clear image. The reverse has a message to Dad and is clean. The colors on the card may vary due to the scanner settings and screen projections.Unless otherwise noted, I use Wikipedia, Playle's and Metropostcard for research and try to be as accurate as possible.
