Description: Here is most of what I know.... I am AJ Rockatansky. I am starting to think I kind of have a Ghost Whisperer thing that attracts me to oddball estate sales to give second lives to abandoned projects and whatnot. In this week's episode, I dug out a Winthrop project - 4 film reels and a small bunch of paper materials. If this was Johhny Hart stuff, I would be planning my dream vacation. But sadly, this Dick Cavalli guy only wrote the foreword to Johnny Hart's "Color Me Sunday" book in '77. No home run here. Anyhoo... that whole running gag that Johnny Hart had in BC about clams having legs was TOTALLY hilarious. Soooooooooooooooo... to make it clear. This is some sort of "animation" project for Dick Cavalli's Winthrop. There are four 8mm reels and some paper things. Everything smells musty. I dug it out of a basement. The film reels might be total LOSER quality and maybe even overall unrealted, but I am a stand up guy and take returns cheerfully. I actually do own an 8mm projector but the last thing I need to do is start screening these and getting a whole delusion of grandeur thing all hustling them all down to the Paley Center with lost media or something. Hmmmm.... Seriously. I take returns. I have better things to do than pretend I like mediocre comic strips. All in all, you do NOT want my face explaining the find here... if it is truly a find. I would veer the ensuing documentary over towards how Marvin was just a blatant ripoff of Garfield. I really should be explaining the lot better.... I take returns. Any questions, please ask. Thanks for looking! PS I think the 4 reels are all related BUT the word "animation" might be overshooting it a bit. Who knows.
