Description: For sale is this historical relic, a turned wooden dip pen which is identified by the accompanying note which reads: Pen holder - made from the oak beam which held the Liberty Bell in Independence Hall tower. School children in 1918 saved 25 cents to buy them. I think the Bell was then placed at the foot of the stairway in the Hall where it could be touched by visitors. In 1976 the Bell was placed in the building designed for it in Independence Hall (Mall). The pen must have had a nib of some sort which has since departed. Otherwise in good condition and measures 6 1/8" long. Please see the photos for details. A unique Liberty Bell historical item and relic.
