Description: This is one of several vintage collectible pottery items, including more Weller, that I am listing this week. ALL ARE IN FANTASTIC CONDITION AND HAVE GREAT START PRICES Here is an exceptional vintage pottery oil lamp that dates back to the late 1800's. It is from Weller and their Dickensware line. It has a slick gold floral pattern against a gorgeous dark brown background. This beauty measures 12" tall by 9" wide with 3 pedestal legs. The inside bottom has Dickens Ware Weller impressed into the mold - a mark that was discontinued in 1910. The kerosene font filler cap reads: Fostoria Patented Sept. 9. 90. Apr.11.93. Apr.30.95. The adjuster knob moves freely and reads Made In America of US. I did no additional testing of the hardware. It is in excellent condition. The only flaws to note is some flaking to the glaze on the rim under the font and what looks like a tight hairline INSIDE the piece leading up to one of the legs. It does go through to the underside. Again, extremely tight and about 2" long. A well sought after piece to add to your collection or décor. Check all shipping options I have offered under the "shipping details" link above. Due to the weight of this piece there may be a considerable difference between the post office and Fed Ex. rates. Please see my other auctions this week for many more vintage items.
