Description: Wrist Bracelet Arm Cuff, Two, Pair, Gold Filled Plated, Flexible, Small, Berger Jewelry Bag, Columbus Ohio, Victorian Edwardian, Flapper, Art Deco Golden Wrists As best I can tell, these flexible bracelets measure about 7.5 inches long. They do not stretch out completely flat but certainly enough to slip on a wrist or even up one's arm. Each band is 0.25 inches wide. When stretched to where the ends meet, they make about a 2.25 inches diameter circle. While they fit a slim adult wrist well, the size may indicate they were originally child's bracelets. Please consider that in your consideration to purchase. I am dating these to the late 1800s to early 1900s given the estate in which they were found. They could easily be as early as the 1880s. But they do remind me of flapper bracelets, which would date the bracelets to the 1920s. Although given the size, they are likely not flapper upper-arm bracelets except for very young and skinny arms. I do not know much about these bracelets. They are gold-tone and may easily be gold, gold-plated, or perhaps gold-filled. I cannot find a maker’s mark nor a gold mark. The bracelets come with a suede bag. There appears to have been a jeweler’s name on the bag. I can make out the words “Heim Berger,” “Diamonds,” a street address I cannot make out, and “Columbus, O.” The design on the snap on the bag appears to be close to the same design on the bracelets. Given this accompanying bag, these bracelets were likely considered, if not expensive, quality pieces that deserved special attention. Any further information you can give me on these old bracelets would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
