Description: You’re bidding on the medal in the photos. Please take the time to examine these photos as they are of the exact medal you are bidding on. The medal and ribbon are in 2 pieces. See photos. This medal is a Taisho Enthronement Medal. While the Taisho Emperor ascended to the throne in 1912, the ceremonies for this enthronement didn't take place until 1915. This medal commemorates that 1915 event. The medal is made of silver with an attached gilt chrysanthemum. The obverse features two imperial banners with "Banzai" written on them. The reverse is inscribed with "Taisho 4 (1915) November, Enthronement Commemorative Medal". A wonderful addition to any medal collection.
