WW2 British Royal Navy RN Pattern 301 Seamans Folding Clasp Pocket Knife NAMED

Description: This WW2 British Royal Navy RN Pattern 301 Seamans Folding Clasp Pocket Knife is in good condition overall but does show expected signs of age, service and storage. The blade is clearly marked "HARRISON BROS & HOWSON SHEFFIELD" and was made by Harrison Brothers & Howson most likely during World War 2 or in the immediate Post-War era. The steel lanyard loop instead of a copper loop indicates Mid-To-Late War production. The blade's edge is clean however expected evidence of age and past service can be clearly seen. The spike also shows expected signs of age but still locks open securely and functions as you would expect. A single number, a "6" or a "9," is stamped on it's exterior facing side. The alloy grip scales are in good condition and show expected age and wear from handling. Of particular note, the grips show a small impact area that has slightly bent the scales and liner of this knife. Everything still functions exactly as intended but this "blemish" can be noticed under close inspection. Of particular interest, one of the scales is stamped with what strongly appears to be the name of a former owner. It appears to read "V. EVENS C.P.O.," which also suggest the sailor was a Chief Petty Officer. This knife is a very intriguing piece that would make a fine addition to any British Military edged weapons collection.
