Description: Original WW2 era "RESTRICTED" GERMAN map of KAISERSLAUTERN bearing an official ink stamp which reads "Auswärtiges Amt Geographischer Dienst" (Foreign Office Geographical Service). The map also features NEUSTADT, KUSEL, KIRCHHEIMBOLANDEN, PZALZERWALD (Palatinate Forest) etc A 1936 edition, it's headed "Nur für den Dienstgebrauch" (equivalent to a "RESTRICTED" British military map). It seems to have been retained officially in the British archives (although there is no accompanying stamp) before eventually being donated to Edinburgh University - hence their own stamp in the margin.
