WW2 Japanese Matsushita Bayonet..Very Late War (Var. P) RARE Wooden Scabbard :

Description: There are many collectors of Japanese Militaria and Bayonets that will have interest in our offering...We are offering a very late war Type 30 Bayonet....Made by Matsushita..very late in WW2. UnFullered Blade with RARE latewar...wooden scabbard....with heavy stringed fittings (See Photos)...Proofed with the late war Arrow "M" without the Tokyo Arsenal Proofing...This was a very short lived Variation by Matsushita due to late war production pressures. Look at the string wrappings..the original green paint..and other fittings..Hard to believe in this condition after nearly 80 years..Labar shows this rare offered bayonet on Pg. 144 and it is listed as 88th Series LB 115...so one of the last to be made and issued. On the top of the pommel is the issue number (#65,259). The blade (See photos) will show the crude late war polishing..which is only found on last ditch IJA bayonets. US Shipping Only
