Description: This is a Rare Lot of 8 Antique Photos & Negatives of WWI Era US Navy Sailors at Camp Lawerence of Illinois. There is an envelope that says on it “Camp Lawrence / Co. E / 22 Reg. / Great Lakes / Ill., and is postmarked “1919”. The photos were taken in 1918 towards the end of WWI. The envelope contains 8 B&W photos, plus 11 negatives, all ranging from 2” x 2 ¾” to 2 ¾” x 4 ½”. A few of the negatives do not have a positive photo image. The views are basically of Sailors in Navy garb, outside of the Camp barracks, and a few have the sailor shouldering a rife on Guard Duty. The best shot is of the Sailor’s falling in for a Camp photo lineup. This photo, and the negative for it, measures 2 ¾” x 4 ½”. All the photos & negatives appear to be in Great condition.
