Description: WWI M1889 Prussian German Infantry Officers Sword with Scabbard. Ricasso is marked "E & F. Horster Solingen". The grip and pommel are tight, the guard is a tiny bit loose. The sharkskin grip is 99% complete. The triple strands of twisted wires are 100% complete. The leather finger loop is gone. The double fullered blade is straight, unsharpened, a couple very light nicks, and there is surface loss scattered throughout. The scabbard is marked "1" by the throat, it is solid with a couple anti-rattle dents, a little tight on/off the blade by the ricasso, and has some minor surface rust freckles scattered throughout. Washer is intact. Length of the blade measures 31 1/4" (15/16" wide x 5/16" thick spine), length of the sword is 37 3/16", and in the scabbard it is 38 1/4". Check out my other War items!
