Contact Us!71 5557 1 68 8 Description:1 Shinto period Japanese Samurai sword available. This papered sword would make an important addition to any collection. This sword was made by Daihoshi Hokkyo (Hokyo) Rai Kinmichi. This swordsmith was the second generation Rai Kinmichi. Kinmichi worked from 1648 A.D. to 1661 A.D. Aoi-Art of Tokyo Japan describes 2nd Generation Rai Kinmichi as a jyo-jyo saku swordsmith. Fujishiro ranks Kinmichi as jyo saku. This sword is papered. The shinsa papers were completed April 23, 1972. The blade measures 20 3/8" (51.7 cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine. Condition:This Shinto period Japanese sword is in original Japanese polish. No need to have this sword polished--there is no rust and there are no nicks.
